Thank You, Sister Mary
Thank you, Sister Mary, for 22 years of hard work, love, humor, creativity and openness to exploring new possibilities.

Thank you, Sister Mary, for appreciating and nurturing our youth. For providing them with ways to know their God, themselves, and their gifts in real and heartfelt ways.
Family Time…Over-night Retreats… Confirmation projects… Passion Plays… Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors…
Thank you, Sister Mary, for your Faith, Strength, Courage, and Humor as you journeyed with St. Lucy’s Faith Community. With joy we celebrated your 50 years as a Sister of the Cross and Passion. We’ve shared Easter Vigil Services, trips to Weston Priory in Vermont, for Peace and Justice weekends as well as Parish picnics, Easter Sunrise Services, Talent Shows, Tales of Wonder, Sister Parish Spaghetti suppers, and the Saturday Days of Prayer - snow or shine!!
Thank you, Sister Mary, that as staff we prayed together, we worked together, and we played together. We shared the joys and the sorrows of one another and our loved ones. We shared hard work and fun at Matunuck that had to begin with Allies donuts… in rain, snow or sleet. More hard work and fun in Narragansett, with themed staff days prepared by team A or team B with no sense of competition!! And always the unexpected… like “flying dog” rescues, broken septic tanks, and a ram’s horn being blown to gather us for our meetings! Still more fun at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, eating together at “Legal Sea Food” and in the last few years working, playing, and breaking bread together at “Sabbath Place” in Wickford.
Thank you, Sister Mary, truly, we have been blessed and we give thanks this day and all days for your presence among us. Until we meet again… |
