ST. LUCY CATHOLIC FAITH COMMUNITY

WHAT IS LIFE ALL ABOUT?
LIFE (Learning In Faith Experiences) is lifelong faith formation opportunity open to all members of the parish community. People of all ages come together to learn, grow in faith, share common life and faith experiences in intergenerational and age-specific groupings.
“Catechesis is the process of transmitting the Gospel, as the Christian community has received it, understands it, celebrates it, lives it and communicates it in many ways.” [GDC#78]
All LIFE celebrations take place in the Fr. Casey Parish Center and include:
A Prepared Meal: Everyone gathers together to share in a simple meal, relax, and socialize. Just as Jesus shared meals with his friends, we do likewise.
Opening Prayer & Introduction: All ages gather for theological introduction to the celebration's theme using prayer, film, story, activity,... .
Learning Component: An in-depth module that explores the same topic in age-specific learning groups: young children with parent, children, teens, adults. Occasional intergenerational grouping method is used.
Home Materials: Each age-specific group receives materials that allows households to continue their journey of faith with activities and ideas for home use.
Closing Prayer: Sends forth the Faith Community to continue growing and Learning In Faith Experiences (LIFE).
Celebration Times (Choose one session only):
Sunday: 11:45am-2:15pm;
Monday: 5:30pm-8:00pm
Tuesday: 5:30pm-8:00pm
