Community Action Committee Projects
Some annual projects include:
Pennies for Rx - jar collection for medical supplies for residents of Lucy’s Hearth
Thanksgiving Food Drive - to benefit the Salvation Army food baskets
Giving Tree - wrapped Christmas gifts of warm adult clothing distributed at local soup kitchens and shelters
Card Collection - used card fronts for schools; new cards for prison inmates

Some special projects are:
Lenten Day of Prayer, 2005 - examined the ecology and spirituality of water
Dress for Success - collection of new
and used business clothing (filled two vans and two pickup trucks)
Homes of Hope - 13 homes ($800 each) built in Nicaragua for refuges of the earthquake
Prayer Tree - for active duty military persons
Coats for Kids - distributed at local child care centers
Speaking programs: AIDS, prison ministry, organ donation, local and state legislation, forgiveness of international debt
